Betsy Warburton, BSN, MSN
Betsy Warburton is a dementia nurse consultant, educator, and founder of Dementia Support Works. With nearly four decades of experience working with older adults and their families, she brings a deep understanding of the challenges that can come with dementia and caregiving.
Her career has included skilled nursing, memory care, assisted and independent living, and continuing care at home. Today, she combines that experience with practical, evidence-based education to help families better understand dementia, respond to challenging situations, communicate more effectively, and make difficult care decisions with greater confidence.
Betsy’s connection to dementia is also personal. Having experienced dementia within her own family, she understands that caregiving involves much more than knowing what to do—it can bring uncertainty, exhaustion, grief, and difficult decisions.
Through Dementia Support Works, Betsy provides education, consulting, resources, and support designed to make the dementia journey feel less overwhelming and less lonely—while helping families move forward with clarity, compassion, and hope.
My Mission & Vision
Dementia Support Works was created to help individuals and families navigate dementia with greater understanding, confidence, and hope through practical education and compassionate guidance.
Mission
To provide individuals and families affected by dementia with practical education, compassionate guidance, and trusted support—helping make the journey feel less overwhelming and less lonely.
Vision
A world where every person affected by dementia feels supported, understood, and equipped to live with dignity, purpose, and the best possible quality of life.
Why I Started Dementia Support Works
Caring for someone with dementia can be meaningful, but it can also feel overwhelming. Throughout my career, I saw families doing their very best while still feeling lost, exhausted, or unsure of what to do next.
I started Dementia Support Works because no one should have to navigate this journey alone.
My personal mission has always been simple: to help as many people as I can, in any way that I can. I bring that mission to every family I work with—offering practical guidance, compassionate support, and tools that can make the dementia journey a little more manageable.
