Why I Started Dementia Support Works

Caring for someone with dementia is one of the most meaningful—and overwhelming—journeys a family can face. Over the years, I saw families doing their very best, yet still feeling lost, exhausted, or unsure of the “right” next step. I started Dementia Support Works because no one should have to navigate this alone.
My personal mission statement has always been to help as many people as I can, in any way that I can. Through this work, I’ve learned there are no simple solutions or absolutes in caring for a loved one with dementia. Every person’s journey is different, and what works one day may not work the next. Dementia Support Works grew from a desire to help families navigate those complexities with clarity, compassion, and practical tools they can rely on.
